The plastic handle is not for insulation. Do not use it for anything that conducts electricity. When cutting iron wire, copper wire, etc., there is a risk of scattering around it. Wear safety glasses to prevent danger. If you grip the handle closer to the fulcrum, you will not be able to apply force, and you may pinch your fingers, so be careful.
